Silver Meadows & Hay Festival
A couple of dates of note coming up. On Tuesday 23rd May SILVER MEADOWS the musical gets its stage debut, an initial dress rehearsal run through trialling the play with live band. If you fancy coming along please do, its a free event at The Joe. H. Makin Drama Centre, Liverpool L1 9BG in collaboration with the Liverpool University Drama Team. The play starts at 4pm with doors at 3.45pm. I realise this is quite a difficult time for people but if you can wangle it we’d love to see you there. All feedback welcomed. The stage play has been written by Liverpool Writer Ian Salmon, its based on the characters and stories from the songs. I think he’s done a great job but seeing it for real will be a very different experience and one we are hoping to build on. All feedback is welcome. Silver Meadows is available now to buy on CD from the VP website and from all the usual digital platforms, reviews and listening posts.
On Tuesday 30th May Rob and I play The Hay Music Festival, we are on at 4.30 pm in the BBC Tent, its part of BBC Introducing. Its a free event, so if you can come please do, the event if filmed for the BBC Website and the music played on BBC 6 over the coming months. It should be a nice little gig five songs and some chit chat with DJ Andrew Marsden. Its a ticketed free event. Tickets here.
